Raw, itchy swollen vagina?

Raw, itchy swollen vagina? So I’m having issues. for the past few days my vagina has been really itchy. It’s gotten really raw and swollen, and sorta looks like blisters but I think it’s just because it’s so raw. There are no sores on it really, and there is no odd discharge and it doesn’t have an odd smell or anything. The only thing wrong is the redness, itchiness, and swollenness.

I am sexually active, but I have only been having sex with my boyfriend for a few months now, and before that I hadn’t had a partner in a while. he hasn’t cheated on me, and we’ve been having sex for a while but it’s just started suddenly. so I don’t think it is an STD of any sort (or I’m hoping it’s not). I’ve read up on it and it seems like it could be a yeast infection or thrush.. or herpes (although there are no sores really). plus I looked up pictures of herpes (kinda gross I know) and mine does not look like that.

I’m scared. I really am. And I don’t know what to do. I’m in college so I can’t get to my doctor for a while. plus my mom doesn’t know I’m sexually active and I’m a bit afraid to tell her.

What do you think it could be? any advice at all would be great. I really need relief from the itching and soreness. please give me advice. And please leave out any comments about not having sex. Been there, done that, it’s not gunna change.

EricaAll colleges have a campus health center that can provide cheap or free health care and exams for you. This is your best bet–it kind of sounds like a STD (some don’t have symptoms for quite some time). Either way you should definitely get it checked out. it could be a yeast infection, though the fact that you don’t notice an abnormal smell or discharge makes me think it’s not. you both should get tested immediately (plannedparenthood.org for free testing sites, or you can find any free clinic in your area online). good luck!

N Mask your BF to get medical advice to check if he has any infection which may be passing to you.you also should visit the gynaecologist immediatelysoory but can be STDuse condom till reports come

edencryMy first guess would just be a yeast infection. you don’t always have all the symptoms. Get some over the counter meds and see if it clears up. also eat yogurt and dont scratch. When you get to a doctor, you may want them to do a Blood Glucose check on you. A new yeast infection could be a symptom of diabets. are you excessivly thirsty or urinating a lot?? oh an no more sex till you’ve seen a doc!

fatima xI’m also experiencing the same thing now.Try to put petroleum jelly to ease the itchiness — but i doubt it’ll really cure the root.I don’t think it’s yeast infection. Since you’re not experiencing any weird discharge and foul smell.did you shave?maybe some bacteria caused it.I’ll have myself checked on Saturday. so you better go to your gyne too. To make sure what really caused it and to treat the root of it, too.
